We were given this cute Patty Pan squash and lovely sweet peppers. I've diced the peppers and froze them in snack-sized baggies. The squash I think I'll just keep to look pretty.
The squash and peppers are so very yellow so I went outside and looked for more colour.

I tell myself that Autumn is coming, bringing cooler temperatures and a new crop of apples.If I tell myself enough times I may believe it :) We bought a box of peaches on the weekend but they're not quite ripe yet. Meanwhile we are under yet another heat warning. GM
That squash is so cute. Reminds me of a sunflower. Such a pretty color.

Really YELLOW! Like the sun! Yellow was my favorite-color when I was a child. The first Patty Pan squash ...very nice form! Autun will approach, and even when heat will come once more, the sun will slowly disappear and the night of long winter is on the way.
ReplyDeleteI love all your pretty yellows today. I'm sorry you and so many others are having such hot weather. I hope it will subside soon as Autumn is definitely coming. Last winter we had record snowfalls so we'll see what we are in for this year. Hope we have a nice long Fall....but we never do!

I really enjoy the autumn. It's my favorite time of year but I am trying to savor the last summer days as the chill of winter will come all too soon. Love all the spots of yellow from the garden. It's such a perky color!
