A few pictures taken earlier in the week by a fellow walker B.H. I'm not sure what day it was; I'm forever getting mixed up what day of the week it is. Hopefully after next weekend I'll get back on track.
Huey the Great Blue Heron
Lots of Mergansers
There have been beavers seen around this area and we've seen gnawed stumps but so far we haven't actually seen any beavers. We did see otters one day and a muskrat.
We had a bit of rain today but temperatures remain mild. Not much happening around here.
There have been a couple of sites that refuse my comments but I noticed that if I continue to try to load them, by the third or fourth time the comment is accepted. Very weird.
ReplyDeleteAnother blogger recently mentioned that it is necessary to use Google Chrome as browser in order to comment on most blogs. These techy dilemmas are rather beyond me. You are able to comment on mine, so perhaps Chrome isn't the answer.
ReplyDeleteA walk becomes very special when birds or wild creatures are spotted. Its been weeks now since we've seen the group of turkeys strolling across the meadow. No raccoons, only the very ugly opossum who makes nightly visits to the porch.
That meme is so true and sure makes you think doesn't it? You got some beautiful photos of a winters day, blue sky with puffy clouds and all. Beautiful. I hope you can get the commenting thing figured out.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
What a wonderful collection of wildlife you have nearby.
ReplyDeleteOn the comment problem, just change your browser...I use IE, Firefox, Google Chrome and Clear. I have them all pinned to my tool bar at the bottom of my computer screen. One acts up, I go to another.
ReplyDeleteIE (Internet Explorer) usually gives me that message! Aggravating!)
Happy New Year!
hugs

I use Google Chrome and haven't had a problem.
ReplyDeleteGreat wildlife on our walk.
Great quote!!
Almost Happy New Year! Nice photos of the birds!:)
ReplyDeleteYour photos today are wonderful. What a beautiful place you have to walk. I love the quote. It is perfect for starting out a brand new year. I'll try not to mess up my field of fallen snow.
ReplyDeleteOh, I know what you mean about getting the days mixed up. I'm always forgetting if today is a holiday day or a work day, if the shops might be open or shut. I have to keep looking at my phone to remind myself LOL xx
ReplyDeleteHow nice to have you back! On time to wish you a happy end of year!
ReplyDeleteWonderful light on your walks! The shy animals are living with you in this amazing region. Here in Bavaria it's also very mild - like last year before changing into 2023 -
ReplyDeleteWise quote!
Wow you have beautiful scenery where you live, Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures! Best wishes for a very HAPPY NEW YEAR - 2024...
ReplyDeleteLots of love from Titti
