Flooded Paths

We were surprised when we arrived at Fish Trap Creek to find the gate closed. We drove on and parked hoping we could still go walking but soon realized that the paths were flooded. I don't remember getting that much rain this past week but what else could have caused it is beyond me.

We did find another place to walk but it wasn't as interesting. Came home and will now do some housework.
It's my eldest son's 54th birthday today.Hard for me to believe I have 3 of my 5 children in their 5th decade...or is it their 6th?

What are you keeping busy with today?  Thanks for taking time to visit ❤

  1. After my PT appointment Friday, I spent time this morning reworking my PT routine schedule. I found out I can't wiggle my hips and I need to. :-)
Tomorrow we celebrate my grandson's 21st birthday!

  2. It looks so nice there we are very bare and stark waiting for a snow storm. I packed away some Christmas took a walk and changed the beds I am all done in time to put my feet up.

  3. Here in UK the flooding is getting worse, and rail links are in trouble, trains cancelled, roads closed. It's very bad.

Too bad you couldn't walk where you wanted.

  5. Oh I really can feel you, that you still feel your sons are not elder than 6! Not possible also for me, that my three sons are walking straight from now 40 to their 50th.. and me from 70 now to 80....
Maybe it has rained near the well of this river. Here in Bavaria we have several towns standing in water because of a lot of rain several miles up the rivers..

  6. Looks like too much water at once, the weather sure is strange this year.

  7. After a busy week, we enjoyed a quiet Saturday. Thankfully no rain because as Elizabeth commented many areas of the UK have experienced flooding.

    All the best Jan

  8. Wow... that's a lot of water! We've had very dreary, dark days here and what little rain we've had has turned to ice. Supposed to get a bit of a snowstorm tonight but it looks like it's just going to be all around us and we'll get maybe an inch. Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

  10. It doesn't seem to have rained enough for flooding, but maybe there is a blockage somewhere. Today has been a bit of a slow day, but we've enjoyed the sunshine.

  14. Happy Birthday to your son. I'm sorry I'm a day late. It's been a busy, busy day today. We're waiting for a big snow tonight and tomorrow. Prediction is 10-12 inches which will be the most snow since we moved back here and this is our third winter. I hope your paths are walkable again now.
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy
