We spent a quiet day. It was 2C when we went walking, lots of geese and ducks on the lake. When we got back I did some laundry, youngest son came over and together with middle son we had a great game of cards. A simple supper ( I think that's the end of any leftovers). And the first day of the year has come and gone.
By this time each year, I am ready to get back to my regular old routine. I hope you have a wonderful 2024.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fine day. We had a quiet one at home, too. While in Abbotsford over the weekend, we walked around Mill Lake and saw some of those geese and ducks. Such fun to observe.
ReplyDeleteIt was a quiet day for me here. As we were expecting a storm we did not get out to the sea, but the storm was not there but today and lis of rain.I will do some more crafting today.

It sounds like a good day to me. We had some errands with Mom and dog walking, but otherwise it was fairly quiet.

Your New Year's Day sounds wonderful! My husband's family would always enjoy a good card game when some of the people they didn't see often would come to their place to hunt. Sounds like fun! Our meals yesterday were filling, but nothing out of the ordinary.
